Friend School Esports
We are proud to announce the start-up of the Friend School Esports program. Esports consists of students competing with students from other schools in the playing of various video games. All games played are sanctioned by a state board ensuring that all games are safe and promote positivity. No games deemed as being excessively violent or inappropriate in any way are used for competitions.
Students were recently asked to complete a survey regarding programs of interest. The Esports program was the highest ranked based on the results. We hope the program provides us with a wider range of programs to enhance student interest and involvement in school. In order to participate, students must meet all academic requirements just as they do for athletics and other extracurricular programs.
Students in 4th-8th Grade can compete. Mrs. Critchfield will be leading the program. She will conduct two after-school meetings to go over the details with the students. The first meeting will be Friday, December 16th and the second meeting will be on Wednesday, January 4th.
We are excited about adding this program and service to our students! Please let us know if you have any questions.
